[SD 4 Math]
We named this class with "Jegogan" in line with the students' varied body figure. Nevertheless, each one of them shared almost the same perspectives and able to grasp the basic lesson while learning. Their versatility in absorbing the ground structure of a lesson reflects "Jegogan" genuine characteristic. "Jegogan" is the lowest pitched of the gangsa. It creates a shimmering sound characteristic which carries the root melody of Gamelan Bali. This instrument requires long resonating bamboo tubes so is played while sitting on a chair or bench. It plays at sub-multiples of the pokok (the melodic line) and is played particularly at important structural points where the gongs also play.
